Sex Ed: The Queerer, The Better
In this webinar, participants will reflect upon strategies on how to be expansive when it comes to centering the experiences of trans and queer young people within Sex Ed content and curriculum. We will begin with a socio-political understanding of current anti-LGBTQ+ legislation as well as explore the pivotal movements within Trans and Queer History. Participants will then engage in a values-based assessment prior to reflecting upon how to center the experiences of trans and queer youth while talking about traditional sex ed topics. Participants will leave the workshop with tangible and applicable skills and tools to affirm trans and queer youth in our varying community and learning spaces.
